Jamie McCarthy
Hey, I am jamie!
Hello! I’m Jamie McCarthy, currently living in Northamptonshire. I’m a passionate graphic designer who focuses on branding, animation and visual identity! When I'm not designing, I like to spend time with family and friends. I aim to experiment with different styles to make each project unique and exciting. As a perfectionist, I constantly strive to improve by challenging myself to use new software, communicate my ideas effectively and set higher standards for each piece of design work I produce.
The brief aimed to re-brand a local radio station called Demon FM, which is located at De Montfort University. The aim was to rejuvenate the visual identity by giving a lively, energetic and dynamic feel, to encourage students and young adults to listen to the radio station. The solution consisted of updating the logo, website and social media. Promotional posters were produced to create local music events from DJs and artists to celebrate the creative music scene in Leicester.

Next Step
Next Step is a campaign for secondary school and college students to try out different careers and professions, for example musician, fire fighter and pilot. Meta Quest allows students to be their chosen career for a day. The experience would show a day in the life of what the job role requires. The aim is to educate young adults about future opportunities within the real world.

Zero Excuse
This project aimed to solve the Creative Conscience open brief to tackle the theme of mental health. The aim for Zero Excuse was to produce a selection of alcohol free ciders which were tailored for university students aged 18 - 24 years old. Zero Excuse was created to help individuals enjoy social events without the pressure to drink alcohol. With Zero Excuse, students can confidently choose not to drink no excuses necessary.
