Juno Heslop
Hey, I am Juno!
I’m an illustrator who loves narrative storytelling! I also have a passion for creating exciting and playful characters.
I always try to include texture in my illustrations and I often achieve this with various methods of printmaking. I always feel more connected to my illustrations when I work this way.
LitterBug
A children's book designed to encourage children and adults not to litter.
The hope is to make people more considerate of how their littering behaviours can affect their friends and neighbours.
The velveteen Rabbit
This a redesign of the illustrations for The Velveteen Rabbit written by Margery Williams,
The idea was to bring a modern take on the original illustrations by William Nicholson while still trying to keep the original charm. I achieved this by using various printmaking mediums such as Lino print and woodcut.
Where are you my tiger?
“Where are you my Tiger?” is a novelty book for those ages 0-2 year olds about a Hog who has lost his tiger and accidentally mistakes other animals for his tiger due to aspects of their appearance being similar. This book aims to help infants start to recognise pattern and colour in a playful and hands on way.
