Hey, I am Luiza!
My practice focuses on creating playful illustrations that mix vibrant colour palettes with bold typography. I’m particularly interested in visual storytelling that evokes emotion and invites engagement. Influenced by everyday life, retro aesthetics, and 60s music, I attempt to create immersive experiences where design and narrative are balanced to leave a lasting effect.
REVEAL
It is a collection of illustrated skateboard designs called REVEAL, because each skateboard has two layers of designs printed on the deck. When the first layer gets scratched out, the second layer becomes visible. This reveal effect is a unique feature of the collection. Each layer tells a playful story that follows three distinct characters, creating a rewarding narrative system that motivates and encourages physical activity. This project was nominated as a New Talent in the Design Product & Packaging category at the World Illustration Awards in 2025.
us.1986
Us.1986 is a unisex fashion line commissioned by Next, in association with the Spring/Summer 2026 season. The collection is informed by bold 1980s style, combining retro visual references with contemporary streetwear ethos. Designed to be versatile, the unisex clothing is meant to be swapped between couples or friends—promoting personal expression, couplehood, and community through fashion.
Her Gem
Her Gem is an app, which has been designed to help make intimate healthcare more convenient for women in university. With a reported 1.2 million women suffering from conditions like bacterial vaginosis (BV), thrush, and cystitis, the app provides a discreet and useful solution. After completing a symptom-based questionnaire, users can receive free medication, collected privately at the till by simply presenting a QR code. The other aspects highlight education and empowerment—calling out young women to educate themselves more and voice out their intimate health.
