Yasmin Wilson

Hey, I am Yasmin !

One of my favourite things to do is people-watching - especially when I’m abroad. Watching the world go by helps me notice the little details in life. I try to bring that into my designs, always looking for what’s yet to be discovered. My work often focuses on themes of community, mental health and youth culture. I have a real passion for branding and designing for good - if there's a way I can make an impact, I'm in.

Local Legends

BRANDING CAMPAIGN

A brief set by Creative Conscience sparked the idea of Local Legends, sparked by a single word that stood out: community. In today’s world, community seems to have lost its meaning, or at least people don't really know what it means to be in one anymore. This project is an attempt to change that. By celebrating the everyday achievements of people in your town it brings together a sense of community pride, it also means you finally learn their names. Through posters, billboards, a website and an app, Local Legends brings people's stories to life - meaning it's never been so easy to find out more and get involved.

SideQuest

CAMPAIGN

A collaboration between Steam and The National Trust with a purpose to get gamers outside - without asking them to give up what they love. By turning National Trust sites into real-world adventures inspired by the games and films filmed there - think The Witcher, Harry Potter, Star Wars. Rather than shaming gamers for their hobbies, why don't we encourage them by blending the outdoors and their favourite games. Each event has a personalised theme that's based off of the game/film that was filmed there. Expect meet and greets, A event based off of a game/film that has meet and greets, mini games, and a large-scale QR code treasure hunt that lets players team up with their online friends in real life - adding excitement, competition, and connection to the day.

StepIn is an advertising concept for the Meta Quest 3s, created in response to a brief set by Mother London. The campaign aims to shift the perception that VR is just for gaming, instead highlighting how the headset can improve everyday life, particularly in fitness. It focuses on the idea of escaping reality, turning boring home workouts into an immersive, motivating experience. No more staring at laundry piles when you can instead choose any of the breathtaking virtual landscapes available that motivate you. The use of portal visuals helps to communicate the transition between real and virtual worlds. Bright and energetic design elements add a sense of movement and escape, whilst still staying grounded.
