SÖZ: independent poetry society
SöZ {Independent Poetry Society} is a creative platform that brings together aspiring artists and local audiences through a shared passion for poetry, storytelling, and self-expression. The word «сөз» (söz/soz) means «word» «speech» or «to speak» in Kazakh, making it a fitting name for a society that encourages people to share their voices and stories. SöZ aims to foster a culture of poetry and self-expression by providing emerging artists with a platform to showcase and publish their work through a monthly trilingual editorial publication. The publication celebrates linguistic and cultural diversity, creating opportunities for cross-cultural exchange and making poetry accessible to a wider community.
Alongside this, SöZ creates an educational and cultural space dedicated to poetry-related topics, hosting events, performances, and poetry nights that encourage learning, dialogue, and community engagement.
GLOBAL RAVE SYSTEM
Global Rave System is a research-led editorial and visual identity project exploring ten of the world's most influential capitals of techno and rave culture. The project investigates how underground electronic music scenes have shaped local identities, communities, and urban spaces.
The outcome is a series of ten CD cases that capture moments of each location’s rave culture, translating the energy, atmosphere, and identity of each scene into a physical archive. Through this format, the project reflects on how music, memory, and place can be collected and experienced as interconnected fragments of a global system.
